the studied carelessness

Here’s something you’ll like. Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire‘s resident DJ and in-house producer, SickSentz, just dropped a great new beat tape. For Two, he once again teamed up with The Slickness, as they alternate every track and throw down some clean instrumentals. There are soul samples, melodic piano lines, jazz guitar; it’s really a diverse tape, and there are some awesome joints on here. Throw this on and have a cypher with your friends, zone out with a jar of peanut butter, or even give your dog a bath. It’s great for all occasions.

I just purchased this album.  It is the first album I have paid for since September 2003.
I should mention that the two producers are two of my best friends… or maybe I shouldn’t.  I’m not promoting them because they’re my people, I’m promoting them because they are talented.
I should also mention that the website lets you name your own price for the album.  Literally.  Pay what you want, no minimum.  Or just stream it for free.
Their first CD was amazing, I expect nothing less from this one.

My posse's full of women, computer nerds and thugs. Much to my dismay, I'm none of the above.
